Frequently asked questions
To help us respond with an accurate FOB or CIF quotation, please include the specific product name and grade you require (for example, bentonite red ball granules, dolomite white ball, or bentonite cat litter with lavender fragrance), the estimated monthly or per-order volume in metric tons, the destination country and port, your preferred Incoterm (FOB, CIF, CFR, or EXW), and any specific packaging requirements such as bag size, jumbo bags, or private-label packaging. If you have target quality parameters such as particle size range, moisture content, or swell index requirements, including those helps us match the product precisely to your application. If certain details are still tentative, our export team can work with indicative ranges and refine the quotation as your requirements are confirmed.
We primarily ship from Mundra Port, Pipavav Port, and Kandla Port, all located in Gujarat, which provides efficient access to major international shipping routes. Port selection depends on product availability at the time of order booking, destination route optimization, and shipping line schedules. Mundra Port, being India's largest commercial port by volume, offers the widest frequency of sailings to Middle Eastern, African, European, and Southeast Asian destinations. Pipavav Port provides efficient connectivity for containerized cargo with competitive terminal handling rates. Kandla Port, also known as Deendayal Port, serves as a key node for bulk and break-bulk cargo. We coordinate container booking, port handling, and customs clearance as part of the export logistics scope.
Every export shipment includes a complete documentation package comprising commercial invoice and packing list, bill of lading (ocean or multimodal as applicable), certificate of origin under non-preferential scheme or preferential trade agreements such as India-ASEAN, India-UAE CEPA, or India-Mauritius CECPA depending on destination, packing declaration for wood packaging materials, and certificate of analysis summarizing batch quality test results. Depending on destination country requirements and product category, we also arrange phytosanitary certificates, GSP certificates of origin, certificate of weight and measurement, material safety data sheets, and pre-shipment inspection reports from agencies such as SGS or Bureau Veritas. For letter of credit transactions, all documents are prepared in strict conformity with LC terms and presented within the prescribed timelines.
FOB (Free on Board) pricing covers the product cost, inland transportation from our plant in Bhavnagar to the loading port, port handling charges, and customs clearance, with risk and cost transferring to the buyer once the goods are loaded on board the vessel. CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) pricing includes all FOB components plus ocean freight and marine insurance coverage to the destination port, providing a landed cost basis for buyers who prefer a single inclusive price. CFR (Cost and Freight) is similar to CIF but without insurance, which buyers may arrange independently. We typically quote FOB Mundra, FOB Pipavav, or FOB Kandla and can provide CIF or CFR calculations based on current ocean freight rates to your destination port. Quotations include volume-based pricing tiers and are typically valid for 15 to 30 days.
